Office 2010 Combining Word Documents

Problem:

So you have multiple completely separate Office Word 2010 documents all formatted and complete and you decide you want to combine them into one larger word doc. You don’t want to cut and paste and reformat all day and you don’t want to combine them one at a time. Here is how to import them all at once with formatting:

Solution:

Open your new document you want to import in Word

Go to the “Insert” tab

Select “Object” > “Text from File”

Browse to the document or documents you want to import, Select the document or multiples, and click “Insert”

And wait! It may take some time for it to import multiple documents especially if they are in double digits.

You may need to add some page breaks but besides that your formatting should be in place.
